I have had two children and a hysterectomy. After the hysterectomy the wieght has packed on the pounds. I have never worked out in a gym and I am easily intimidated by the gym. On with my question if my goal was to loose about 50 pounds can any one give me some advise on how often I should go to the gym and how to be less intimidated by the gym?

Hi-

In the last 10 or more yrs I've noticed that I have celluilte all over my legs mainly in the front of my legs. It's so disgusting that I have not worn shorts for that long. I'm 46 and I've been thinking of getting a butt and thigh lift, since I noticed that if I move the skin up a little it all disapears. I've been working out and even had a trainer and have only seen results all over my body, which I totally loved, except for my legs and I don't understand why. So what I'm hoping is that you can give me some advice, before I really consider having this surgery. I've written to many trainers about this and never get a replay back. I'm hoping you will reply to me.

ps I 'm 46, going through menopause and have been eating healthy for yrs.

Thank you

Marcey - Yes - it's still possible to get "ripped abs" after having a c-section. I've seen it happen many times (moms bouncing back from c-sections and sculpting great abs).

Your abdominal muscles were cut when you had your C-section and that can cause some initial problems with training. However, since it's been 5 years since your procedure - I'm assuming you're not in any pain when you exercise.

Getting "ripped abs" is 60% nutrition and 40% training (some would say nutrition is upwards of 80% of the equation). To see your abdominal muscles you've got to reduce the layer of fat over them and proper nutrition plays a big part in doing that.

Bottom line - your past C-section should not prevent you from getting "ripped abs". Only lack of proper diet and exercise will stand in your way.
