Elizabeth one good way to stay motivated with your exercise program is to find a sport or activity that you really like doing, something that is a lot of fun to you. Otherwise exercising can feel like some kind of task you have to do on some check list. You should also try to find someone you can work out with. It is a lot more fun when you are hanging out with a friend than when you are doing it by yourself. The other benefit to having a work out buddy is on the days when you are undermotivated they can help get you out there, and on days when your friend is hesitant you can help her out. I hope you don't mind me answering you, I know I am not Jackie or Jillian.

Growing up my mom was never happy about her weight and was always on diets. She really pushed my sister and me to really watch our weight and diet. Everyone else in my family is overweight, including my sister, but I went the other way. I am 5'8, and six years ago I got down to 65 1/2 pounds and almost died. I really should be dead, but I got off lucky. I did have to have the damaged part of my heart burned off, but it was successful. I also damaged my kidneys, which can not be fixed, I have about 45% kidney function (which I can live with) and will always suffer from kidney stones. Some people think it is strange for me to consider myself lucky even when I am in the ER and in tons of pain because of a kidney stone, but the truth is I am lucky. I am alive, considering how low my weight was and my potassium level was 1.0 (normal is 3.5 to 5.5, and many doctors had said nobody lives with a potassium level of 2.0, and most die even before they hit that point.). My point to all this is I really admire the way you handle your clients and your approach to weight loss. There is no difference in the cause of anorexia, bulimia, and compulsive overeating. Food is just a symptom, and if you don't fix the real problem the person will never be able to lose the weight and keep it off; which is something both Jackie and Jillian understand and help with. If you want to lose weight you do have to eat healthy calories, if you don't you won't lose weight; and if you don't get to the heart of why you have gotten to were you are with your weight you will never be really happy at any weight, or be able to maintain your new weight and body. Thanks Jillian and Jackie for showing not only your clients but the whole world that not everyone with a weight problem has gotten to that point simply because they are "just lazy slobs". Today I am at a very healthy weight, I have a normal relationship with food, and, most importantly, I am very happy and I am truly living.

What brand/type of workout clothes do you recommend for working out that will not show sweat. I bought Champion that is suppose to wick away sweat but my crotch area looked like I had wet my pants. OMG...how embarrasing. So I know that brand doesn't work.

Thank you.
