Jillian Michaels Clothing Line
If Jillian Michaels were to come out with her own clothing line it would certainly be a big hit. But it wouldn’t be for the plus size woman.
Perhaps that’s why the upcoming Biggest Loser clothing line isn’t being designed by Jillian Michaels but by Bruno Schiavi.
Biggest Loser Clothing Line Details
The line is launching fall 2010. According to the Press Release:
“We are really excited to introduce a fashionable line of workout clothing, which will offer an excellent fit and will flatter all shapes and sizes,” said Kim Niemi, Senior Vice President, NBC Universal Television Consumer Products Group. “Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for anyone to adopt The Biggest Loser lifestyle at home, in the gym or outdoors.”
“The inspiration for developing a Biggest Loser line comes from our contestants, who complain about how little choice exists out there as they fight to get back on track,” said Mark Koops, Managing Director, Co-Head of Domestic Television for Reveille. “We have tried to ensure that it is at once great looking, affordable and practical and that it will help kick-start many to make a healthy lifestyle change.”

Biggest Loser Clothing Design Possibilities?
Bruno Schiavi designed the Dr. Rey Shapewear clothing line (see piece at left).
It’s described as “body enhancing shapewear to disguise any imperfection and enhance a woman’s natural assets.” This may give us a clue for what’s in store for the Biggest Loser clothing line.
Clothing that looks great and makes it easier and more comfortable for plus size people to exercise by offering extra support?
Now that’s a win / win. Stay tuned…

Jillian Michaels Everywhere
Jillian Michaels Is becoming the biggest “looser” by letting loose a vast array of fitness Books, Audios, DVDs and even a Wii Fit game.
What’s Up With Jackie Warner?
It looks like Jillian’s business success has eclipsed that of her friend Jackie Warner of Bravo’s Workout. It’s questionable when and if there will be a Bravo Workout Season 4.
And even though Jackie has a 2009 Fitness Calendar , Workout DVDs and Clothing Line – it remains to be seen if they can make good.
What’s Next For Jillian?
Looks like she’ll keep hitting the talk shows to spreading her message of health and fitness. You go girl!

The long awaited Workout season 3 is almost upon us. We expect to see Jackie Warner’s new clothing line, supplements, trainers and relationships in full bloom.
Behind The Workout
Meantime, here’s some insight on how the show was filmed and edited compliments of After Ellen Piece:
Andy Cohen, Bravo’s senior vice president of programming and production, was part of the team that created and developed Work Out. He said: “At Bravo we follow the person. Jackie happens to be gay. … We didn’t have a mandate saying we need a lesbian show. We just found Jackie.”
Cohen went on to credit the gym setting with bringing out the drama in the personal lives of central and supporting characters alike: “You go into a gym and you start talking to your trainer, and suddenly you’re kind of spilling your soul. [The drama on Work Out] is kind of the natural course of what happens.”
And as for how the show is filmed and edited…
The process of taking the real life of Sky Sport to the screen is relatively straightforward. According to Cohen, for 12 weeks “you’re shooting for eight, nine hours at a time with various people. Probably five, six days a week.
You may be on Jackie three to four days that week, and you may cover other stuff with the other trainers.” The producers sift through the hours of film and cut 99 percent of it to create nine 44-minute episodes that tell a compelling story.
Now it’s time to see how all this work pays off.  Season Three of Jackie Warner’s Workout Show premiers Tuesday, April 15th at 11pm on Bravo.

One of the big aspects of Jackie Warner’s Workout Season 3 is the launch of her new clothing line. Originally conceived in season one as the “LIFT” line it quickly disappeared. It re-emerged in season two as Sky Lab by Jackie Warner.
A Workout season two episode is devoted to Jackie working with her clothing designers and approaching executives at Paiva to distribute the Jackie Warner clothing line in their stores. Paiva started selling Jackie Warner’s apparel line shortly after.
The Problem With Jackie Warner & Paiva
A visit to the Paiva website tells the story here. Seems upscale women’s clothing retailer Paiva, a subsidiary of FinshLine, is game over. Here’s an excerpt from a March 2008 Indianapolis Business Journal article quoting a business analyst:
“Finish Line certainly has its challenges,†he said. He noted that Paiva, a 15-store chain for upscale women the company launched in 2006, failed to take off and was shuttered last summer.Â
Jackie Warner’s Clothing Line Goes It Alone
Now Jackie’s clothing line is up to bat for the third time sold via the Skysport and Spa Store.
Will the exposure from the Bravo T.V. show, Jackie Warner’s growing celebrity and the soon to be released nutrition supplements and DVD’s help move the merchandise?
We’ll have to wait and see. Especially in an increasingly recession driven, price sensitive market that’s facing competition from comparable, stylish women’s fitness apparel sold for less, it may be tough going.
What do you think?

Bravo kicks off Workout Season Three
On March April 15 at 11pm, Jackie Warner and the Sky Sport & Spa Personal trainers are back for season 3.
New Trainers. New Love For Jackie?
So what’s in store for Jackie, Rebecca, Zen, Jesse, Andre, Peeler, Erika and Greg? Rumor has it Jackie Warner and Rebecca are ending their steamy affair. Jackie is hiring four new trainers for Sky Sport and diving into a new relationship.
Peeler is jumping ship to start his own gym.
Eating Right and Dressing Tight
Looks like Jackie Warner may also launch her nutrition supplement line of protein bars and shakes – probably similar to her original recipe.
Expect to see more of Jackie Warner’s clothing and apparel line. Original called LIFT, now aptly called Sky Lab by Jackie Warner.
After the season three opener, Workout will move to its regular day and time-slot – Tuesdays at 10pm.

Here’s the word straight from Jackie herself via Mr. Nightlife’s Hollywood on season 3 of Bravo’s Workout:
According to Jackie Warner:
We are right in the middle of filming third season and as usual I have 10 new businesses-haha! I so like jumping on and reading your mail. U keep a smile on my face when things get stressful-so thanks for all of your support-I love it.
Ok-So to answer questions…..3rd Season Workout airs this March, my clothing line will be on my website in one week and it is HOT (I will post my site next week) I am releasing DVD, I have a low sugar protein bar and shake….and sign-ups for SkyLab the lifechange camp will be ready shortly I really believe in what I do and am passionate about wanting to get this country to a better place…mind and body.
Find a few qualities that you love about yourself and work everyday to maximize them…Find a few qualities you dislike and work everyday to minimize them….I swear its that simple and its what I still practice for myself.
Oh-and stop being so self critical-there is soooo much more to beauty than what you see at first glance.
Stay tuned…

Jackie Warner, Peeler, Rebecca, Jesse, Zen and the rest of the Sky Sport Spa trainers will be back in action in Workout Season Three. According to After Ellen:
Bravo has announced that Work Out has been renewed for a third season. That’s right: More Jackie Warner, more showmances and more hapless ordinary people who just want to get in shape but find themselves getting into a whole mess o’ drama instead.
So what can we expect from Bravo’s Workout season three? Will Jackie Warner’s Skylab Apparel Line (formerly known as the LIFT line) succeed? Will Jackie find love with Rebecca or in a bizarre twist go back to Mimi? Will Jackie’s Skylab project change the lives of millions? Will Jackie Warner create a new Protein Shake Recipe? Only time will tell…
Meantime, anyone have opinions on what to expect in season three?

Many people are eager for detailed exercise advice from Jackie Warner, star of Bravo’s reality show Workout.
Unfortunately she’s not very accessible unless you go to L.A. and drop $400.00 a session (5 session minimum).
There’s a better way to get the information you want from Jackie.
Just read Making The Cut by Jackie Warner’s Business Partner – Jillian Michaels
Jillian Michaels co-owns Skysport & Spa with Jackie Warner. And if you read their interviews and advice in the media you’ll find they have pretty much the same philosophy and approach when it comes to nutrition, exercise and weight loss. This comes as no surprise if they co-own the same gym. But here’s the good part…
Jillian Michaels Advice Is Accessible
She’s produced some great instructional fitness products. She’s got her two best selling fitness books. She’s got her best selling DVD workouts. And she’s got lots of target training and beginner workouts too.
Just in case you’re not familiar with Jillian, here’s a Bio excerpt from a 2005 Washington Post Interview transcript:
Jillian Michaels, the Beverly Hills-based personal trainer who coached her team to victory on NBC’s “The Biggest Loser”… Michaels is co-owner of Sky Sport and Spa, a penthouse fitness facility in Beverly Hills. Her clients include actors such as Amanda Peet and Mark Ruffalo. Among her credentials, she holds a Black Belt in Muay Thai. She lives in Los Angeles, California.
So I think the moral of this story is… The best way to get your Jackie Warner workout my be through Jillian!
But for clothing – that’s another matter. Here you can go straight to the source and get Jackie Warner’s Skylab clothing line.

Q&A with Jackie Warner compliments of the Boston Herald:
Q: Is it easier to lose weight in the summer?
A: “People tend to lose weight in the summer because their body temperature is more heated, they’re more active, they change their behavior. People walk more, they’re more athletic.”
Q: But do people tend to eat more things like margaritas and hot dogs because they think they’re exercising more?
A: “That’s a caveat, but I easily shed three to five pounds once the rainy season is over in L.A. — not because I change my workout, I just naturally stop eating.”
Q: What about working out in the heat? Bad idea?
A: “I think it’s great to work outdoors; I prefer it to a gym. It warms up your body temperature and muscles. I know it’s bad for your skin, but I love working out in the sun, too. Just slather on the sunscreen and make sure you drink a lot of water.”
Q: Any advice for folks going on vacation? How do you stick to a fitness plan?
A: “If you’re going on summer vacation, workout by hiking or walking. I mean, snorkeling is an intense workout. I used to only stay at hotels with gyms, but what a waste! I never used them. Sleep, swim, snorkel, have fun and keep it interesting.”
Q: What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned from being on reality TV?
A: “That all of this is on my shoulders, and while the Bravo executives may like me and take me out to dinner and value what I am doing, they don’t care if I win or lose. Sky Lab and Sky Sport and my fashion line, all of it is on me, and I have to make it work. You only have yourself to rely on, that’s what I learned.”
